Thread: 5/11 CC Results

First Clash of the season. Not a horrible turnout. We had 10 cars....then 8 cars.

Amy - white SN95 GT
Rich - white 86 Saleen
Joe - black V6 New Edge
Brandy - DSG GT
Matt - grey New Edge GT
Dan - DSG V6 New Edge
Brian - red Aero Fox
Byers5.0 (sorry, forgot name ) - maroon Aero Fox
Steve - white Cobra

Amy's GT sprouted a coolant leak during time trials. Rich's Saleen was running rough and overheating. Neither ran eliminations.

Kory, Joe, and Byers had the best consistency. Joe made 2nd round, Kory made 3rd, and Byers made 4th round. Great job guys!

Best R/T of the night by a member was Joe. he had a .124, I think. Congrats Joe! We will see you at the next clash, with cash!

Overall was nice to see everyone. New faces, as well as old. We made some conversation with a few other Stang owners that I hope will be running for CS next time! Nice to see some new faces out there, wish you regulars that missed it could have been here. Overall the track was not nearly as busy as the 1st clash last year. Maybe Mom's day weekend has something to do with it!

Oh, and I messed up, I promissed Lee I would sign up the 5 man. I failed. I was busy with my car, and forgot. Sorry Lee!

Byers5.0=Daniel. I'm not very good with names either so it's all good. I had a lot of fun and I'll become a member soon enough

Also, how does the points system work? Do you get more points the more races that you win or what?

The club as a whole gets points for participation and the # of rounds everyone goes.

Then there are 5 man team points, where each clash you have a 5 man team that must be turned in before eliminations start. The # of rounds that team makes is then also tallied. We can have different people at each clash be the 5 man. General rule is anyone at clash the 1st time has good luck making rounds. The slower class is easier to make rounds as well. There is a lot of sand bagging going on in the faster class. IE a 10 sec car, dialed in at 12.30.
