MGW replied to my email already...

"eventually but i do not have any time on it."

Guess I will live with the one that came with it for a while.

Sorry couldn't see the pic on my phone when I looked at this. Did you check with any of the tranny shops to see if they offer anything?

I guess if I ever want to upgrade my t56 I will have to remember these are not the same.

I have talked to MGW and Steeda, have a Tri-Ax on my 3650. Both have said they will probably make one eventually, but there are not enough of these around. I also offered my services to MGW. If they make one, I offered to test it for them . I figure, I beta test computer equipment all the time....I can do this too.

Well, back to the teardown. Draining the gas tank, exhaust is out, and tranny should be out soon. If I have enough energy after that, the KB will come out. With my health issues, my wife is all over me about doing too much, but I think I got her out of the house today. She is taking one of the kids to family bingo on Ft Carson.

Here are some pic's I hijacked from Mustang 5.0 Magazine to show the differences between the Magnum and the regular t-56.

This is the old T-56 beside the Magnum.

This shows the shifter and possible shifter locations.

This is the input shaft. The Magnum is on the left.

HMMMM, reminds me of a 3550/TKO type of transmission shifter! Have you tried PRO-5.0?

    PRO 5.0's response:

"we prototyped some parts and are being field tested. Still would be app one year to hit the market"

It would appear that you are going to have to cut down the handle, replace rubber with metal washers / shims and shift easy for a while. Lol

Ok, I want some opinions. First, I have been working with tork tech and whipple to get this thing going. Most of the parts are here, or in their final stages of assembly.

So, for the whipple........2.9 or 3.4? They are the same price, will fit on the tork tech (or they think it will), and lower the IATs even more and give more power on less boost. I am really consitering going with the 3.4 because I dont think there are too many of those around on a 2v. Overkill, yes, but with what I have coming, I dont think 700+ is out of the question and still have it halfway driveable when I want.

I would like some opinions on this. For the same price, should I go with the 2.9 or 3.4?

I would go 3.4. You can make the same boost with it and it doesn't have to work as hard which should translate to lower temps....right? Plus, you have the ability to go bigger on the boost. I had the 1.7 KB on my 04'GT and wish I had more. I had almost the smallest pulley on the car that I could get and was only getting just over 10 psi. Even the 2.1 KB's were doing better.

Bigger is usually better but what exactly are your goals? The bigger blowers will usually produce higher dyno numbers but hit later in the revs. This is great for dynos and the drag strip. The smaller blower will still produce high power but will be more responsive lower in the revs. This is better for the street and autocross. Also, depends on your heads and their capability to move that much air. There is a reason they are the same price?? Also take into consideration the clearance issues with the bigger case on your set up. Either way it is going to be sweet. Can't wait to see it run.
