Tork Tech TERMINATOR kit install
Ok guys so recently this summer I joined the ranks of Mustang owners with my 2004 GT, sonic blue, 5 speed, with 24k on it. Some stuff was done to the car when I bought it, 4:10 gears, pypes y-pipe w/ magnaflow mufflers, diablo tuner, large plenum and throttle body which are knock offs, and a K&N CAI. The car runs great, looks great and I absolutely love it. In the past I have mildly built a few other cars ie: 2002 WRX around 300whp, Starion, DSM, Volvo 740 turbo, and a couple hondas. I was an import guy for along time but have since grown bored of them and wanted to build some sort of muscle car, I work on BMWs for a living so the Mustang is a nice easy to work on toy for me and relaxing, I really enjoy it. My brother had a 35th Anniversary GT that was mountain dew green and I always loved that car, the way it drove, sounded, and looked. So hence why I ended up with this car.
Here it is at Bandimere, my first time at the strip with it, have'nt been back since, was only able to manage a 15.00 with the tires spinning into 3rd everytime, I need practice!! haha

So not to shortly after I decided I wanted to go forced induction, I weighed all the options and was pretty much set on a KB kit until I found these guys www.torktech.com.... Needless to say I got to saving and shortly ordered an Intercooled Terminator kit from them, I was not very pleased with Bill the sales guy there but Charles made up for it when I spoke with him, awesome guy and product.
6 weeks after I ordered my kit it arrived finally and here is what I got!

Very nice build quality, the install instructions are somewhat lacking in some places but otherwise very easy to follow. A few of the problems I found were: they say you need a shorter accessory belt, not in my case, I needed a longer one, the torque specs on the piggyback pulley are a bit much for those little 8mm bolts (60ft.lbs +90 degrees), it doesn't tell you the cobra cable will have about 1.5inches of slack in it (this may differ car to car), no sort of EGR adapter or mentioning it but anyways I still really like the kit and its definitely worth the money and wait. I also ended up sourcing an Eaton M112 locally with 39lb injectors, 2.93 pulley already on it, partial EGR delete kit, Cobra MAF, Steeda CAI, TB, and some other goodies. I got all of them from jdh1213 off here, super nice guy and some very nice used parts. I think the blower only has around 18k on it or so.... Can't remember but it was low miles, and his car is super nice, huge whipple!
Here are the other parts

So I got working right away, got everything torn down, ordered some new gaskets, plugs, gauges, Canton reservoir, a gauge pod, Cobra IAC, Supercharger gasket and more.
Heres some pics of the tear down, not very eventful, took about an hour or so.

Everything went really smooth aside from the stock plastic manifold cracking when I was removing it, pretty weak sauce if you ask me. There is only really one bolt that was a PITA and its the one holding the old coolant by-pass hose to the back of the block but it was still a quick tear down, alot easier than alot of the BMWs and Minis I work on, haha.
Couple more pics

So after I got it all ready to go it was time to prep the manifold, cooler, and blower. All pretty straight forward besides having to file some of the holes out on the blower to make it fit which was in the install instructions. Pretty nice stuff, everything fits extremely well and looks good.

The car is done as I type, I finished the install lastnight and it is going to RWR tomorrow for tuning. Its currently hoodless, haha, but it came out really nice, I can continue with alot more pics on this build if anyone is curious or thinking of installing the same kit. I would recommend the product to anyone, really nice and easy install with basic knowledge, It should be done and fully tuned by Saturday, hoping for around 380-420hp, we shall see. Its getting an SCT as well while its there. I can barely wait, haha.

Looks nice! That intercooler looks familiar
, mine is just a lot lower and more forward. I just mounted mine to the bottom of the bumper support.

I absolutely love my Tork Tech TVS kit. They do have an EGR adapter if you call Charles he'll overnight you one. And I love my RWR SCT tune. He's awesome. Kit quality was great, your install looks good. What are the plans for the hood? Welcome to the site.

Great thread. I'm loving all the pics. The install looks so clean, like it came from the factory that way. Get some video of the dyno pulls, I bet it is a freakin' beast now compaired to what it started out as. I did the KB install on my 04'. Like you said, pretty straight forward aside from that bolt on the back of the block.

Thats good to know about the egr, I'm gonna need that eventually. As far as the hood goes I'm not sure yet, I want a heat extraction hood because it would be beneficial for sure but I'm also getting my spoiler deleted so I just want the body lines to flow with the hood and rear deck lid. I will probably just get it all done this winter, its gonna be expensive to make it look the way I want it. I'm also getting some stealth black fr500s and building the rear suspension as well so after this winter its going to be a whole different animal.

Thanks alot, I wanted it to look like a factory install so that comment means alot to me, I'm excited to see what kind of numbers its going to make, I'm sure its gonna be a ton of fun. Hes tuning it tomorrow and I work tomorrow, but I told him I want to be there for atleast 1 or 2 dyno pulls.
