Yep... I rebuilt the 289 two months ago. I like both, but perfer to work on the 289 becasue of the lack of wiring harnesses.
anyway I got the rear drag springs in. They were a PITA, but i got them in. I wish these heads were here. Anyway, I am going to start cleaning the valve covers and timing cover. Im not going to do the front springs until i drop the K member.

that timing cover looks like it could use a good powder coating job.

i would, but i dont have any extra money laying around. One of my heads may be bad too. Alabama Cylinder head sells Remanufactured heads that have been over heated hard core. It started to eat at the cam journal, so tommorow the measurements on the heads will be in saying if it will be a safe head or not.

Im hoping for a 12.99 pass or better on the giggle gas. Only suspension mod i Have is drag springs. I cant afford the SFCs, Torqueboxes welded, LCA, UCA, and shocks and struts...
