Thread: First Time Out

Brought my mustang out for the first time since i put the turbo on, Im only on 5psi and running my cam only tune with 60lb injectors and a Pro-M maf, but i decided that it was running decent enough for me to "play" around. On to the good stuff, my friend has a civic that he built about mid year last year and has had good results, It is a n/a honda on e85 and it flat moves for a honda thats not boosted, Last night he raced a turbo honda that claimed 12.5 and had quite a few people vouch for him on that. They did a second gear roll and my friends n/a honda inched on him through 4th gear. So i decided ehh why not i have had a friendly rivalry with this kid since i have had my stang and tonight was the first night its been out in CO for probably more than a year. So we head out to a spot, decide on a second gear roll (his 2nd gear is effed) I brake boost a pound or so lol and we hit it. By the time i let off in 4th gear about 100mph i had a car and was still pulling. Im very proud of my little 2v considering it s on 5 psi ( I will get tuned on 10) and no real tune. Before i get tuned Im going to pull my Comp 270's out and get custom turbo cams and i will also put my 3.27 back in.

An N/A Honda kept up with a turbo'd 01 GT, that's pretty impressive. I was a PMI a few years back and a couple of N/A Hondas were clicking off 13s. They pretty much swiss cheesed every metal piece on the car and were sitting on milk crates to save weight.

What are the details on your 01? Steve-o's 04 with a Kenne Bell running about 2x your boost was in the mid 12s.
