So replaced the pump today and same thing. Oil pressure goes away when the car gets hot. There is a small chance that the drivers side vct solenoid had an issue so that's the next step. Other than that who knows.

bearings are loose. that will cause a loss in oil pressure. Or missing a oil galley/port plug somewhere.

It's an aluminum block. Do you think it wasn't machined right so when it heats up it expands enough to allow the pressure to drop?

Looked through the build photos and it looks like there is a missing oil galley plug on the front of the block. Suck because we should have seen it when the front cover was off for the oil pump. We're going to pull the cover again and the trans to make sure the ones in the back are there as well. Hopefully it will be running Labor day weekend depending on the time we can give it.

    Thanks for the tip Rob!

No problem. I just hope that fixes it. I only thought of that cause we had the same thing happen to my buddies dodge when we built the 408. Forgot a plug.

Results: Missing oil galley plug. Car runs great now with no issues. Needs some fine tuning and once there are a few more miles on it a full tune.

Glad to hear it was just a plug. Those little buggers are hard to miss if you dont remember.
