Default What do you do for a living?

Here is a little story about what I do. We had a photographer from the Smithsonian out at the base for a few months. I had to do a little interview, never thought it was going on their web site.

    Anyway, check it out.

That's cool Steve! Here is the link to the video: http://www.airspacemag.com/multimedi...ng-Falcon.html

I'm a Sr. Web Administrator for local government, which means I maintain, build, and teach how to use the Internet and Intranet sites. Not near as exciting as F16's.

Your job is way cooler than mine! I don't work with anything cool like jets. I'm a research engineer and I research what it takes to make commercial buildings energy efficient. This is our newest project on campus that we're working to make sure it hits its energy goals.

I'm not near as cool as you guys but I deal with cool people everyday. I am in the oil field collecting used oil and recycling it back to new oil. So if you really hate the middle east oil issues and what it does to your wallet, you'll love me. Lol!

My job is not cool at all. I'm a Marketing Database Manager for 3 casinos. I pull data to track promotions, monitor player activity, and run the direct mail programs, while keeping all of the behind the scenes stuff like point multipliers and virtual drawings running.

I spend most of my days just cussing at SQL.

Mine used to be cool.....but now I'm broken and waiting to retire. According to the Army, I am an Information Systems Operator/Analyst, but, because I worked for DoD for 5 years, for them I was a Combat Communications Engineer. My job was to infiltrate, monitor, and disrupt all types of communications systems. It was a blast....while it lasted!

    That's awesome Steve!
As others have stated, my job is not as cool as yours! :-) I'm a software support engineer which means I fix broken software problems and train others to do so.

I'd rather be around F-16's though!

I buy junky Mustangs/parts, then sell them for what I bought them for.

I program Honeywell commercial control systems. Not as cool as Steve's, but I really enjoy the challenge of different buildings. We do new construction as well as retrofit/energy upgrades. A good field to get into, it is a specialized niche that not many people know about. Very good job security for you youngns' looking for a career.

Sheesh, you guys all have great jobs compared to what I do. I work for the Post Office, a couple of months away from the 25 year mark too. I used to work in the building where all the mail goes to get sorted but for the last year I've been a window clerk and it has it's ups (scantly clad beautiful women) and it's downs (scantly clad homeless that haven't bathed in years). I'd rather be working in another part of the PO but this job gets me weekends off to go racing and hang out so I'm stuck.

    Cool vid Steve, nice job!!
