Default 500+ Posts by New Years

Just figured I'd give this a shot... If we can get 1,000 posts on this thread by Christmas (1159pm Colorado Time) I will donate $50 to Operation Gratitude (if any one else wanted to pitch in, that's cool but not the point of this "event").
*EDIT* Due to high participation but minimal manning, I'm changing the rules. No double posting and it's extended until January 1st 0001. 500-999 posts nets half the promised amount from myself, and maybe a few others. 1K nets the full amount, 1.1K and I'll have a heart attack, so be careful.

    The rules are simple,

    1. Post anything you like AS LONG AS it doesn't violate forum rules
    2. You can't repost until at least 2 other people have made a post (even if the person under your last post asks you a direct question)
    3. You can carry on multiple tangents of conversations or whatever, but you must be starting a new topic or replying to an existing one, so no 1 word or smiley only or vid or picture only posts (If that makes sense?)
    4. Ignore rule 2

Carry on folks, I think we can do it (PS I can't really afford it, so you won't hurt my feelings if this flops )

I can't afford it either, but I'll donate $50.00 as well because I don't think we can do it

So is this end of day Christmas? 11:59PM 12-25-11?

Couldn't answer you earlier due to the rules, but now that at least 2 others have posted, yes 11:59

It came from Warner Brothers in 2000, if you're refering to the film. If you're refering to the phrase I believe that no one actually knows and there are tons of plausible reasons, but no proof.

    Ill play along.

I was going to start a new thread for this, but I just throw it out in this since there isnt a huge topic of discussion here yet.

Im moving this weekend. I decided to stay in the area vs moving back to Oklahoma. Guess that means once my car is done, it will be out and about a lot next year. Im not moving far, from Fort Carson to Falcon. Still a PITA since I am doing it myself. My official retirement date is the 26th, so I have to be out of government housing by then. At least I found a good house. 3200 sq ft, 3 car garage, 4 bdrm, 3 bath.

**Ok, I am editing because I cant reply yet. I will do the $50, and while I love Operation Gratitude, I will be sending mine to a different organization. As most of you know, I am a wounded warrior and being retired because of it. A year and a half ago, when I was REALLY screwed up, I contacted by a group called Reel Thanx. They are a group in Texas that fly wounded warriors to South Texas and take them fishing. It might not sound like much, but it is a huge help to get peoples minds away from what is bugging them. They helped me at a time when I really needed it. And I have always wanted to repay them in any way I could. Because I should have a much better paying job than the Army, I am hoping to become a sponsor for them by May. May is when they do the soldiers from Fort Carson. I am wanting to come up with the $1000 to be a sponsor for an individual soldier by then. Kind of my way of giving back to someone that helped me.....so they can continue to help others.

This was me there in May 2009. I had just been forced to walk with a cane after being an athelete and special forces soldier for many, many years. It was something that was really hard for me to face. 6lb 14oz the first day.

*EDIT* Kevin, I deleted your other post, you gotta wait until 2 people post after you before re-posting on this thread.

okay, so using my same post (this one)

how did "don't throw the baby out with the bath water" originate?

this way i answer a question and perpetuate another

    that's legal, right?

Been out all day and this is it?!?! Come on people!

I like the fishing trip. Nothing gets your head cleared like a good day fishing. Glad you're staying in the area as well. Let me know if you need a hand moving.

Great thread. I'm in and will make a point to check back as often as possible.
Had a chance to pick up some SSR GT3's for $2,100 today but had to pass since the wife has been out of work for 5 months. Really was tempting though and they are exactly what I want for my car. Oh well, guess I'll wait until I get my clutch and input shaft upgraded and get some TF Victories or CCW 505a's.
