Eerie indeed. I jumped on a link to the photographer/blogger which offered about 15 other places of similar nature. Before I knew it , a couple hours gone. I enjoyed it though.
Did you add a trip to North Brother to your itinerary during your NYC trip?

That is really cool. Another really interesting deserted area is Chernobyl. I was looking at recent pictures a few months back. It is just as cool as the Leper colony.
